It’s easy for me to be very enthusiastic about Sarasota Florida new homes. The Sarasota, Florida area is expecting 2 new projects to bring over 2,000 homes to the Sarasota, Florida new construction real estate market. A joint project of Ryland Homes and Taylor Morrison will bring 95 single family homes to south Manatee County close to the interstate and convenient to shopping, downtown, and the beaches. Neal Communities is turning 1,000 acres near River Road and Center Road into a green habitat for humans with nearly 2,000 homes situated in preserve-like settings.
The Associated Press reported that May was a new home market rebound with new homes being bought at the fastest pace in two years. A 7.6% increase from April to May resulted in the sale of 369,000 homes. This is just another sign that the housing market is reviving 5 years after the crash.
The National Association of Home Builders reports that although new home sales is less than 20% of the market the impact on the economy with the new jobs and the tax revenue created is substantial. The sales increases were highest in the Northeast at 36.7% and in the South at 12.7%.
Despite a slower job market that has started to affect some home sales of previously occupied homes showing a drop slightly from April, sales are 9.6% higher than a year ago. This is good news.
