You have to see it to believe it!
Siesta Key Beach Sand is the whitest, softest, coolest sand ever. 2 year old Ava is from Greensboro, N.C. She thought the sand was snow. She had never felt cool, soft sand and refused to walk on it at first. It didn’t take her long to wade in the water. It was the PERFECT temperature. Her mother kept remarking, “This is so weird. It’s February and everyone is in bathing suits.”
Yes, that is why people flock to the #1 Beach in the US. And that is why we have made it to the TOP of another list. Livability.com, a website that highlights America’s best places to live, has given Sarasota, Florida the No. 1 ranking for TOP SPRING BREAK SPOT for families. There are 6 pristine beaches within 30 miles of Sarasota proper: Siesta Key Beach,
Lido Key Beach, Longboat Key Beach, Manasota Beach, Venice Beach and Casey Key Beach.
Siesta Beach offers long stretches of pure white smooth sand perfect for the runner, walker, and sun worshiper. Midway on the key is Crescent Beach that offers a picnic style respite that includes a casual carefree way to spend the entire day. The southern end of the key includes Turtle Beach for the shell scoopers and boaters.
Lido Key Beach has everything within it’s long stretch which encompasses a park with nature trails and picnic tables. Bordered by Sarasota Bay on the east, Big Pass to the south, and the Gulf of Mexico to the west you can drop anchor and wade to the shore, ski through the pass, or run the pass on your skidoo.
Longboat Key is a more private beach used by residents and visitors staying at one of the many resorts. However, there are still public accesses all along the beach.
Venice Beach is famous for finding sharks teeth and fishermen love the fishing pier and the waterfront dining after a long afternoon throwing in a line. It includes Caspersen Beach that is the largest of Sarasota’s beaches. It is also known for the Brohard Paw Park where the furry guys can freely run with the waves.
Manasota Beach is a quiet well-kept secret for those who really want to get away from it all.
Regardless of where you live in Sarasota a beach to your liking is within a quick drive. So pack up the stuff or just throw your towel in the car…..you can’t go wrong in sunny Sarasota.
Tip top stfuf. I’ll expect more now.
